Hereof, can I get EI if I was terminated within probationary period Canada?
Employees who are dismissed from their last job can receive E.I. provided that they did not lose that job because of their misconduct. By selecting the drop down that an employee is dismissed during their probationary period, may lead to a presumption that there was no misconduct.
Likewise, can you get EI if you quit Canada? If you quit your job, you will not qualify for regular EI benefits unless you had "just cause". Just cause means you had to quit because you had no other reasonable choice.
Simply so, can you get EI if you have a second job?
Yes, you can work while getting EI, but half the amount you earn will be taken off your EI benefits. This applies as long as you do not earn more than 90% of the average insurable earnings your benefit was based on. Any money you earn above that 90% will be fully taken off your benefits.
Does EI contact your employer?
Can my employer contest a decision concerning my EI benefits application? If we decide to pay you benefits even if you quit, were fired for misconduct, refused work, or are involved in a labour dispute, we will notify your employer.
