Regarding this, what's worse blocking or unfriending?
If you unfriend someone, you can still see each other's public posts and everything on the other person's profile that she made public, including photos and updates. However, when you block a user, you automatically unfriend him and neither of you can see each other's posts, public or otherwise.
Also, why did my ex unfriend me but not block me? Unfriending someone implies that you're no longer very close, or friends; thus you don't need to know Simple reason is because there is no reason to block you. Unfriending someone implies that you're no longer very close, or friends; thus you don't need to know everything that goes on in their life.
Hereof, will blocking someone unfriend them?
You can block someone to prevent them from seeing things you post on your profile, starting conversations with you or adding you as a friend. Blocking someone you're friends with will automatically unfriend them. People you block won't be able to: See things you post on your profile.
Can I unfriend someone without them knowing?
First, you can unfriend the person—Facebook will not notify the person you have done so. You can also choose to have someone removed from your On This Day Feed, so Facebook won't resurface a person's posts from years past. To do this, go to the left side of your News Feed and scroll down to On This Day and click on it.
